My Project

The California poppy, the vibrant state flower of California, not only adds beauty to our landscapes but also plays a crucial role in the ecosystem.

Teaching kindergarteners about this iconic flower can be an engaging way to introduce them to the importance of plants in mitigating climate change and supporting the environment.

Through hands-on activities, we aim to foster a sense of curiosity and appreciation for nature among young learners. e request donations of California poppy seeds to distribute to each kindergarten classroom participating in the project.

These seeds will serve as the focal point of our activities, allowing children to observe the growth process firsthand. Playdough will be used to create models. Decorative elements will add a fun and personalized touch to the learning experience. The flower stackable manipulatives will be used to engage in real-life-size flowers, modeling each part of the flower.
