I have 26 students in my 4th grade class. I work in a Title I school in a small community in southern West Virginia. We have about 300 students from Pre-K to 6th grade. Many of the students face challenges beyond their control, but their time at school offers them stability. They love to complete projects in class, and create products to display for others to admire. They work very hard to improve their academic abilities, and these basic supplies would greatly enhance their learning!
My Project
My students need basic supplies to complete engaging projects. The paint, poster board, crayons, markers, and construction paper will allow them to learn in unique hands-on ways! These materials will be used with a variety of activities in all subject areas. They will greatly enhance the curriculum and allow the students to meet the content standards with project based learning. My fourth graders will be able to create posters for research projects. They will also be able to create booklets and complete activities in their interactive notebooks. They will have enough materials to work in small groups, as well as independently with certain assignments.
