This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We start most English class periods with about ten or fifteen minutes of independent reading, so I am always searching for books students will love.
This a selection of literary texts are all extremely engaging, so students will be eager to participate in independent reading time.
Having high interest books will encourage students to actually engage in independent reading time when they often check out during that time. As an Language Arts teacher, my goal is always to capture my students attention and imagination to hook them as lifelong readers!
