Engaging in Literacy Through Picture Books!

Help me give my students engaging picture books to engage them in literacy! Most of my students are English Language learners and will greatly benefit from engaging picture books

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Whatley's classroom raised $206

My Students

I am a student teacher for this great group of students! My students are a diverse group of learners including English Language Learners and students that receive speech therapy services. They can benefit from additional resources, manipulatives, and tools to help engage them in literacy.

My Project

This will help the English Language Learners in my classroom develop reading proficiency. These picture books will engage students in literacy activities and provide a fun learning environment. A lot of these books hit on social justice and community, which is important for young learners to get involved in early on! Having these fun picture books will also be a great addition to lesson plans and activities, integrating reading and English Language Arts into daily instruction. I'm a student teacher in this classroom and am excited to use these books in my lessons and have them for my future classroom as well.

Picture books are a great way to get children engaged and proficient in reading.
