My students need flexible seating and options. I want the students to have options to sit on a bean bag or ball chairs when they read or write instead of hard desk chairs.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are such diamonds in the rough! Most of my students are from low-income homes, but this does not deter them from having pride in being bilingual and bi-cultural. Unfortunately for many of their families, their education sometimes is low on the priority list because theyŕe struggling to make ends meet. Many of the students are required to be mini-adults. Despite this, the students make it to school and work hard.
Our school is welcoming to our students, and I would love to make the classroom more flexible and accepting for them.
My Project
The flexible seating I am requesting will make an incredible impact in my students learning. I only have one bean bag in my classroom now, and I have seen at least three students in every class sit there and focus more easily! They turn in more work and are able to work in a comfortable place.
I want to see my students to embrace and enjoy learning instead of enduring each class period, and having a comfortable seat and options facilitates this!
The students can move their seats and sit separately to focus, if needed, when they are reading or writing!
