This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to purchase curriculum from professionals who develop engaging materials for the history classroom. History is a tricky subject to teach because it involves a lot of writing and reading. Students lose interest quickly, so I want to research how to develop intriguing lessons that foster critical thinking skills. As a beginning teacher, it is difficult to find the time to create such lessons. Teachers pay teachers offers a way in which I can modify preexisting lessons to meet the needs of my students while also meeting state standards.
