Engaging Exploration of the Environment Through Books
Help me give my students in Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade the gift of literacy and science as we explore our units on animals, habitats and the environment.
Please help my Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade students explore and learn about animals, habitats, and the environment through engaging and exciting books. My students are learning about animals in their literacy and science blocks. We are in desperate need of more engaging books to enhance their learning.
We want students to fall in love with reading, be amazed by science, and foster a love for our planet.
These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. Every student book that is placed in my library is treated with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to read. With these new books, my students will also be able to choose books that interest them. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these books will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in science and reading nonfiction texts, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.
