This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a group of amazing 3rd graders in a public NYC school. They are part of a great program called the ASD Nest program. This inclusive program integrates students with autism into a general education classroom. My students have a range of ablilities which makes me want to create a perfect classroom for them! They benefit from individualized instruction and a flexible classroom environment that supports their success. My students are fun, caring, and curious kids who love to learn.
My Project
I am inspired everyday to create engaging lessons and a calming environment for my students. They spend so much of the day in the classroom I want to make sure they are having fun while also engaged in learning and feeling good about the classroom they are in.
A classroom with the right tools are key to my students success!With a new document camera I will be able to make my lessons interactive and fun.
This tool will help my visual learners during the academic day. It is also important for my classroom to be a sensory supportive environment. Having these chair leg covers will create less sound in the classroom and create the relaxing, calm place that my students learn best in.
