Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These essentials will help students stay focused and engaged in the classroom so they can learn effectively and achieve their goals. These items will also help students work independently and regulate themselves and their time as they move through the day. Learning will be less interrupted with these tools.
My students thrive when they can be creative and use technology to enhance their assignments.
I have seen great improvement in their reading, writing, and math skills as they use different apps to complete writing assignments or create presentations for their research reports. With these boards, they'd be able to plan their ideas in a more forgiving way. This will encourage them to keep trying! The Expo markers gives them the ability to choose their tools. They can choose to use a whiteboard if they feel more comfortable with that medium.
The chair bands reduce the distraction during class time and helps students remain focused on instruction and their tasks. A timer would help them stay accountable and be more responsible for themselves.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex will give me freedom to roam the classroom while teaching to help students who need extra assistance and to stay in close proximity to improve my classroom management.
Each of these tools helps to create a successful learning environment so I can help students learn academic and social skills that will help them reach their big dreams.
