Help me give my students a chance to enjoy a warm and safe environment. I would like to provide access to supplies that otherwise could not be afforded. Engaging activities help to motivate the students tremendously!
This year I am continuing on a new challenge! I will begin working with autistic children through the Horizons Program. The Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Horizon program is a specialized and intensive intervention program serving students with autism who experience a moderate degree of challenge with social, behavioral, and communication development. Seeing my students grow and learn is truly amazing.
We are in a mostly low-income/high-poverty school district, with many of my students facing several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
My Project
I have requested decorative supplies for me to be able to build a warm and engaging classroom! Coming out of remote learning for many students I would like to create an environment that feels warm and safe. These details will foster an atmosphere not only conducive to learning but for social and emotional benefits as well.
The art supplies will be allocated towards FUN and exciting art projects to deepen the comprehension of our academic topics.
These students learn visually so this is an outlet for them to create and show their understandings.
