Engaging Education for Kindergarten

Help me give my students engaging learning experiences. We live in a high entertainment world so keeping 5 and 6 year old students becomes more challenging every year.

My Project

I purchased a light table for students to use letter, number, sand, and many other manipulatives for math, letter and CVC word practice, but the classroom is too bright to allow for the light table effect. If I had this adorable kids teepee, it would provide just enough added darkness to allow the light table effect to really enhance student engagement.

Student engagement is key!

We also have borrowed this tic tac toe game from a fellow teacher. She has wiped off the X's and O's and replaced them with letters. Now the kids can toss the bean bags to create CVC words. They love it, and having one in the classroom would be so much more convenient.

Painting in kindergarten is another engaging experience and our current paint smocks desperately need to be replaced.

Finally- we use dry erase boards multiple times a day, so the erasers are always needing to be replenished.
