Engaging Dual Language Minds with English and Spanish Books
Help me give my students National Geographic English and Spanish books, along with the "Quien Fue" (Who Was) Spanish series books, to enrich their learning experience and promote literacy, curiosity, and critical thinking skills.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am thrilled to introduce you to our exciting project aimed at enriching the learning experience of my students through the power of books and knowledge. Our school is committed to fostering a love for reading and nurturing young minds, and I believe that access to diverse and educational materials is vital for their growth. My primary goal is to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment by expanding our library with National Geographic English and Spanish books, along with the renowned "Quien Es" (Who Was”) Spanish series. By introducing these high-quality resources, we aim to promote literacy, curiosity, and critical thinking skills in our students, preparing them for a brighter future.

With a collection of National Geographic books in both English and Spanish, we can cater to the diverse backgrounds of our students, encouraging bilingualism and appreciation for different cultures. The "Quien Fue" (Who Was) Spanish series offers captivating stories of historical figures and influential personalities, enabling our students to connect with the past, understand the present, and inspire their aspirations for the future. To complement these fantastic books, I plan to provide high-quality bookmarkers for our students. These simple yet effective tools will help them stay organized and engaged in their reading journey.
