This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This is my third year teaching and I couldn't have asked for a more manageable, eager to learn group of 6 and 7 year old's. I work in a Title I school in Phoenix, AZ. Many of the children have a low socioeconomic status. The majority of my class demographic is Hispanic, so they are learning two languages.

My students are great learners and I love how they continue to try through a growth mindset when things may get tough.

This group is an energetic bunch that loves to learn through motion. I can't wait to see how they continue to grow the rest of the year!

My Project

I want these materials to add to my classroom centers and STEM bins. This is my third year teaching and the children have been using "used" and homemade centers activities. These supplies will make teaching more efficient, effective, and fun for the children.

The materials will lead to engaging learning for the children through the STEM and center activities.

I am asking for LEGOs and dominoes to add to the STEM bins I am creating this year. I am asking for stools for my horseshoe tables for more effective seating for the children during small groups like centers. I am also asking for clipboards and a chime to help make learning more effective and smooth. I am asking for reading center activities that will help them stay engaged during literacy centers.
