Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This project aims to get high interest books directly in the hands of kids. Each day I teach 65 second grade students who are amazing emerging readers. They are the best emerging bi-lingual bi-literate students ever.

This project will fund books that they have personally requested including Dog Man, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Cat Ninja, and Fly Guy.

Research shows that when students have high interest books in their classrooms they are more likely to make reading gains. I have seen the benefits of having a robust classroom library and your support means a lot to continue to grow our collection in support of kids.
