Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are full of creativity and curiosity! After checking out amazing books students love to build, create and explore STEM materials in the library to stay engaged. After checking out books some students choose hands on activities like building a marble run. Other students choose a quite activity and brain teasers like working on word searches, mazes, or crossword puzzles, this is why I have included printer ink in my request.
My students amaze me each day with the things they build and create, independently and with their peers.
Some of the STEM resources I have requested include chess boards, legos, snap circuits, and cars for a car ramp. All of these materials encourage planning, building, and engineering skills. I see future scientists, writers, and engineers developing at all age levels! I have also requested a book case that I plan to use to display beautiful picture books and for book bin storage. Lastly I have requested a small 1 cup coffee maker for me to make coffee during a break or after school while I am lesson planning.
