Engaging and Essential Science Readers!
My students need these science readers and Scholastic news readers to emphasize the importance of reading current findings in the fields of science and social studies.
Our classroom starts everyday with our "Goodmorning Song," and we focus our efforts on building student accountability and community. Our classroom always looks out for each other.
My students are a strong group of learners.
They come to school and try the best they can everyday. They all come from a variety of social and economic standings, but they have a common interest and that is being in school and learning as much as they can. I am proud of how hard they work everyday, and their efforts have paid off this year!
Next year, I will be working with two different groups of second graders. These groups will be using these Scholastic News and Science Spin magazines to help with research projects and to assist in our daily science instruction as well as being used to help our scientists develop their reading comprehension beyond their current levels.
Anytime you can put quality reading material in the hands of students you are changing the world for the better.
Each year that we get support from www.donorschoose.org we position ourselves as a learning community to make greater educational leaps than we could ever imagine. Here is to another successful year and thanks again for your support and time.
