My students need Alphabet Locks, word building puzzles, magnet builders, dot art painters, and other classroom supplies to differentiate instruction.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Le Vantine's classroom raised $413

My Students
The use of manipulatives in teaching has a solid research history. Manipulatives are concrete objects that can be physically handled by students in order to demonstrate or model abstract concepts. Using our hands as a tool for learning is so much more effective than just pencil and paper.
I have a class of diverse learners with diverse needs.
Some of my students are English language learners and some have learning disabilities. Each student learns differently but one thing that all students have in common is the need to be engaged in their learning. With the use of classroom manipulatives, my students will achieve success in school.
My Project
My students will use the picture puzzles to practice beginning, middle, and ending sounds in simple words. The alphabet and number lock and keys will be used in our daily rotations to reinforce letter and number concepts while strengthening fine motor skills. The dot art markers will also be used to make letters and numbers. The magnet builders will support and enhance the students spatial reasoning while working on 3-D shapes. It will take learning 3-D shapes from abstract to concrete.
These class manipulatives will allow me to meet the needs of all my students regardless of their learning style.
Most importantly, these manipulatives have the advantage of engaging students and increasing both interest in and enjoyment of learning.
