My Students

I am fortunate to work at an amazing elementary school where I teach 2 classes of third graders language arts. My students are creative and inquisitive, they always ask questions and want to know more about the world around them.

My Project

My Third Graders love to learn about the world, and I can not wait to introduce them to the book, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.

While we may not be together in the classroom right now, we can be together through this shared reading experience.

I know that having a copy of the book in their hands; to hold and read along will increase student engagement and help them to experience the struggles, work ethic and triumphs of the main character William.

Through reading this book together, my students will see that you are never too young to make a difference. They will see that when presented with an obstacle, the best thing to do is set your mind towards finding a solution. I want my students to know that much like young William, they have the power to make their world a better place.
