Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Each of the tools in this project will greatly benefit productivity and engagement for students in the classroom. My students have been working hard to improve all year and will make even greater strides with these tools as we continue through spring. These items will benefit students for years to come!
The document camera will help students mirror what I am doing when I am modeling during academic lessons.
For example, when we are using hands on manipulatives during math class, students aren't always able to easily see how to move the objects. The document camera will display on the Promethean Board how to manipulate the objects and allow students to accurately engage and understand.
The headphones will help students hear and focus while on their various independent digital learning platforms. This will help them be more engaged in their learning and block out outside noises that might distract them.
Having a small printer in the classroom will help when I need to quickly print something in the moment for various reasons. Sometimes students lose their copy or make a mistake and want to start over. I also would like to print out colorful certificates for them when they've made accomplishments.
