This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom students often lose focus because of too much energy. They don't have a way to get their energy out while sitting in the classroom and because of this behaviors act up. By having a way to get their energy out and move around in an appropriate way students will behave better and succeed more.
With flexible seating, students will be able to move around the room more freely, bounce while they sit, and kick their feet without making sound.
Students will be able to choose which seating they prefer to help them focus and succeed! A few popular purchases from our school store are "sit in the teacher chair for the day" and "choose any seat for the day" coupons. Students can purchase things from the school store with the points they earn in class. So, this project will support behavior in this way as well as students hopefully make good decisions to earn more points to buy more coupons for even more options with flexible seating!
