This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our class project Engaged Teaching with an iPad was fully funded recently. This is an extension to receiving an iPad mini for our classroom. The iPad can transform into any tool that I might need to help a student learn - a camera, a voice recorder, a math manipulative, a whiteboard, a digital book, etc. It can also be a helpful tool, like recording student observations to demonstrate academic progress and create content to enrich student learning experiences. Also, what's written on the iPad will project onto the board as I am able to move about and assist as needed. This new piece of technology will allow me to walk around the room while writing, highlighting, and emphasizing key material from the palm of my hand.
The items for this project will allow us to use and benefit from the iPad's key features with the Apple pencil accessories for many years to come.
