Help me give my students items like bed trays, balance discs, and pillows that we can utilize for flexible seating, engaged learning, and wonderful student activities!
My students are some amazing kids that have a love for learning. They love to do fun activities, have a place to store their items and they have such huge hearts! My students come from high poverty areas and I am wanting to provide them with some nice items in the classroom that will allow them to feel like they have items of "their own" to utilize as well as making learning fun.
My students love to stay engaged in their learning.
By adding these items to the classroom it will give them more space, more ways to help some wiggly children get those wiggles under control, and bring them more joy and happiness.
My Project
These materials, such as the Gaiam Kids Stay-N-Play Children's Balance Ball and ZIRAKI Large Plush Shredded Foam Reading And TV Relax Pillow , will give my students an ability to utilize their learning throughout my classroom in different areas of the room. It will allow them some "wiggle room" while still being engaged in the learning. They will be able to utilize group work better during carpet time and they will also be more comfortable.
They will be able to read independently in a more comfortable environment as well.
Winsome Wood Bed Tray will be used for students to work in groups at the carpet or reading corner and have a tray for them to write on. We will use Norwood Commercial Furniture NOR-STOOLBB-SO Plastic Stack Stools for their small group work at my back table and will also give them a different style of seating. The Gaiam Kids Stay-N-Play Children's Balance Ball will also be utilized while they are working on assessments on the computer.
The Pacon Pocket Chart, Chair Storage, Blue & Red, will be used to help keep the students organized with all their books and supplies. This will allow their working space to stay clean all while having their supplies close by to use. TheCanDo Inflatable Vestibular Balance Disc's will be used for students who struggle to stay still in their seats to help with their wiggling and give them some sensory items to keep them focused and help not distract others.
