This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

"We want to make learning fun; not sit in our chair all day long, watching and listening to the teacher." Teachers should follow their students' lead to facilitate learning. And my fourth graders just love engineering! Supplying them with K-NEX will enable them to strengthen 21st century skills.

Our public school tries to offer the best to the kids who come from economically disadvantaged families.

85% of the students are African American and Latino children. This situation offers unlimited opportunities to learn tolerance and team work while discovering new perspectives. However, our school and our families can't afford the sources we need to support academic knowledge and improve student achievement.

My Project

The K-NEX Discover Control Set would provide my students with an excellent introduction to control systems. It would allow them to write computer programs in easy to understand steps using a model and electronic devices that respond to every press of the buttons. They just love that! This program of study uses cooperation, communication, hands-on exploration as students build, program, investigate, and evaluate ideas. This activity would be implemented during our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) class. Students would be so excited by this first approach to problem-solving!

As you can see, your donation would change the way students view education forever!
