My Project

Collaborative learning is key to my students' success for their future STEAM careers. With that, collaboration can often be a tricky skill for younger students to master. That is why I would love to bring LEGO BricQ Essential learning kits to my students.

Help us create solutions to real-world STEAM projects together!

BricQ Essential kits will allow all of my learners to collaborate, regardless of their disabilities. The lessons provided use the 5E Instructional Model to help students create unique projects that incorporate science standards of force and motion. After each lesson, my students will build upon their creations to develop a unique aspect to help someone with a mobility issue participate. For example, when building Get Up and Dance my students could create a device to help someone in a wheelchair dance to the music. With Push Car Derby, they could alter the design to help someone with a mobility issue drive and operate the car. Additionally, by using LEGO bricks, my students can experience learning through concrete objects which research shows help students to understand scientific concepts. Using LEGO bricks to help create real-world solutions will also help my students to develop critical thinking skills as well as problem-solving skills as they design, build, and reimage possibilities - together.
