My Project
COVID-19 shifted the way our classrooms operated dramatically, but it's time to refocus our learning to encourage collaboration and teamwork again! I'm eager to use the materials in this project to get my students excited about hands-on learning! I want to provide a space for my students that encourages conversation and partnership. My students need the opportunities to learn through tactile experiences and collaborative projects. Not only will this positively impact student learning, but also their social, emotional, and mental well-being.
The experiences my students will have from these materials will improve our emotional regulation, engagement, problem-solving skills, and communication.
Included in this project are supplies like construction paper, markers, sheet protectors, and paint pens for engaging projects. Collaborative supplies such as rugs for gathering comfortably, anchor chart to capture learning, and black lights for glow learning will help us to grow in a way that encourages social skills. We could do glow phonics, skywriting, and math games; the possibilities are endless! I plan on using the alphabet pop-its in my small group instruction to make learning relevent and enjoyable! The baskets and other organization tools will help to make our classroom a clean, orderly, and safe space. Overall, the tools in this project will encourage excitement, engagement, and excellence!
