My Students

We are one of the most packed school in our district, which makes having what we need hard sometimes. We have great students who make teaching fun and enjoyable. I would love to help them out by giving them something enjoyable!

My amazing students love learning every day and absolutely love learning new things, especially things about science and the world around us!

They are great workers, and we seem to have a wide range of learning levels. This makes engaging non-fiction texts a great way to reach all kids.

My Project

TIME For Kids is a weekly classroom news magazine that motivates kids to read. Every year it is a goal of mine to get kids to love to read and also to get more non-fiction, real world texts into the students in my classes hands.

These magazines cover a wide range of real-world topics using nonfiction text and themes kids love to learn about, while building non-fiction literacy skills and helping students better understand their world.

Children are naturally fascinated by the lives of real people and the world around them. And building background knowledge is key to children's academic success. Nonfiction can sometimes turn a reluctant reader into an enthusiastic one!
