Engage And Explore With Learning Through Technology!
Help me give my students a chance to explore problem solving, math reasoning, reinforce phonics skills, and engage in learning like never before! Thank you so much for helping bring some fun and interest back in the classroom!
This will be my first year teaching at Eastover-Central and I am excited to meet my new first graders. Our school and students were effected by a hurricane last year and due to financial hardship our school is considered a Title I school and all students receive free breakfast. No matter the difficulties all of our students face they come to school with the love of learning and every teacher wants to continue that and foster life long learners.
All students have to be held to high expectations to allow them to work at their full potential, as a teacher it is my job to encourage and foster that learning in new ways to keep all my students engaged.
I believe with this donation it will allow my students to learn in new creative ways that will continue their positive view on education.
My Project
If my students are able to receive an iPad and Osmo kit these materials will make a huge difference in their learning. The Osmo kit is a new technology that will allow students to work independently and be successful in their learning. The kit comes with an ELA program that I plan to use the phonics games that can allow all students to practice skills on their levels. Students will use picture clues to practice spelling patterns. Students in my class typically have theee or more different levels of spelling patterns so this helps them learn what they are ready to learn. The math portion helps students build numbers and can be used to review how to make different number and can be used to help reinforce addition and subtraction. This kit also includes stem products which all the students will enjoy too!
