This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At our Title One school, I am dedicated to fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment for my Spanish class. To achieve this, I am seeking support for materials that will significantly enhance our students' language practice and communication skills.
Our class often uses whiteboards and markers for daily team assignments, allowing students to write and practice Spanish in an interactive manner.
These tools are crucial for our students as they facilitate active participation and immediate feedback. However, to further enrich our learning experience, we also need additional storybooks. These books will be used in a reading corner and in group activities, providing students with valuable reading practice and expanding their exposure to the Spanish language.
Currently, our class has between twenty-five and thirty-two students, and having a diverse collection of storybooks will ensure that each child has access to high-quality reading materials. This will not only support their literacy development, but also foster a love for reading in Spanish.
