This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please help me provide snacks to give to my students during therapy sessions. Throughout the school day it is very important for growing students to eat a balanced meal in order for them to engage in learning and participate within their classrooms. Unfortunately most students don't always have access to food on hand.
Many of the students who we as therapists serve are not eating breakfast or do not have access to additional food at home to bring for their school day.
Many students express they are hungry or tired and don't have the energy to work to their fullest potential. By providing snacks for all students that they can easily access allows for students to feel comfortable and welcome to take what they need. This will help with therapy engagement and participation during their school day.
