This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Need:

Research shows that engaging physical activity not only improves health but also enhances cognitive function, helping students to focus better in class and retain more information.

For our upper-grade students, the existing playground lacks the equipment needed to fully utilize every corner of the playground. Our older students often find themselves sidelined, not fully able to participate in active play, which is essential for their physical and mental well-being.

The Project:

We aim to enrich our recess with diverse and appealing equipment tailored specifically for our upper-grade students. This includes:

Sports Equipment: basketballs, footballs, soccer balls, volleyballs, jump ropes and frisbees.

The Impact:

By funding this project, you will directly enhance the daily lives of our students, offering them more opportunities to engage in physical activities that are enjoyable and age-appropriate. The benefits of this project extend beyond the playground, improving classroom behavior, academic performance, and overall student morale.
