Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students are unique individuals whom we hold high standards for. Some of those high standards we hold for our students require great focus and dedication. We try to do what we can to help them get all they can out of their educational experience at our school.

Most of our students come from poverty and broken homes.

They just don't have the stability, love, and support they need to be successful. We do our best to try to provide them with that love, support, and the tools necessary during their days at our school.

My Project

I am seeking items for differential seating within my classroom. These items will greatly help with those students whom struggle with paying attention and staying on task. I'm have at least two students every year that have ADHD or are on the Autism spectrum.

I chose wobble cushions, a standing desk, net seat, and colorful stools to allow for students to move to a location within my classroom that should help them with focus.

My husband and I made some other seating this summer. I cost a bit more than I was wanting to spend but worth it. I know my students will just love these differential seating options. Thanks!
