This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love P.E. We don't have much P.E. equipment available to use, but the Scoop Ball and Catch-A-Ball sets would take exercise to a new and more exciting level.

My students are wonderful, energetic second graders!

My school is in a low income, high immigrant community. Most of my students are English learners. I have several students with learning disabilities, and I also have several learning disabled students who are mainstreamed into my all inclusive classrooms. Most of my students live in crowded apartment complexes near our school. Many of these families do not allow their children to play outside after school so my students often do not get much physical exercise outside of school. In addition, I partner for enrichment activities with a 3rd grade class and a class of 2nd grade hard-of-hearing students, and they will also participate in this project.

My Project

I love teaching P.E. with my students, but I don't have any new and exciting equipment for my students to use to practice their throwing and catching skills. The Scoop Ball and Catch-A-Ball sets would be a great way for my class to improve their coordination and teamwork skills while getting exercise and having a great time during our P.E. time.

I would love to receive donations to fund this project.

It will allow my students to get a lot of fun, physical exercise. This will also help my students with their coordination and help them learn cooperation skills. The Scoop Ball and Catch-A-Ball sets along with the mesh storage bag will bring our P.E. activities to a new level. I think the best benefit of this project will be that my students will be staying active and healthy and that will help them in everything they do at school!
