Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In our class, we strive to be well-rounded individuals who can produce collaborative work. The students are hard-working, often times, taking their lunch time and after-school time to come into the class and continue to drill on their works-in-progress.

What amazes me about these students is how they can jump into their work on their own.

They find ways to communicate with each other in respectful ways, to provide constructive feedback, and diligently work together to create magnificent works of music.

Despite the many obstacles my students face, they look forward to coming in and getting their work done.

My Project

In our music department, technology this great is difficult to come by. It seems that most of the iPads and Chromebooks that came in were rolled out to the core subjects -English and Math- but Music was left to fend for ourselves.

I would love to obtain technology such as this in order to create more work for my students to practice, read, and perform.

A computer of this caliber can help me also record audio of work that they will encounter, making it more accessible for those students who can't find the time to make it to after-school practice.

This computer would ensure that I can put all manner of ways to help set my music students up for success!
