Help me give my students the HP Jet Pro 6968 a reliable printer for our classroom, along with a laminator. These materials will help us engage in learning as my students rely on visuals to assist in learning.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Welcome. I am a teacher in a specialized district that teaches students with a wide range of disabilities. My students are in grades K- 2 who have Autism. Children with Autism require repetition and motivation when they are learning. My students need to be taught all concepts multiple times and in various ways in order for them to be successful. My students need to hear sounds, touch materials, see images and engage with the content. Most importantly, they need to practice learned skills daily, so they can maintain them.
I have high expectations for my students that I know they can meet with the appropriate materials, instruction, collaboration, and support.
My Project
My school is a Title I school which means that about 99% of the students at my school receive free or reduced-price lunch due to their low socioeconomic status. The school is in a high poverty neighborhood so many of my students come from families who struggle financially. As a result, my students endure more problems than average children, and these problems interfere with and hinder their learning.
My students need a reliable printer in the classroom to print out homework, projects, and assignments.
Having a printer in the classroom will give students the opportunity to be able to print documents that they need to be successful in reaching their goals. For my students to grasp a concept and engage in learning, they require a lot of visual representations and having a reliable printer in our classroom can do just that. The materials can be printed out and then laminated to last the entire school year.
My students have been writing stories about a variety of topics including activities we do daily, such as brushing our teeth, toilet training, and getting dressed.
If we can print out our steps, each child will be able to read and follow directions to complete these tasks.
We can also print out and laminate visuals needed for the classroom environment to label and assist the nonverbal students. Our class will also be creating a yearbook for 2018. If we are able to print out our book each students family will be able to share all the wonderful accomplishments with no charges. I thank you in advance for your donations to help the students of Class X30.
