My Students

The world is at their fingertips if only they could reach it. My students would love to use an iPad to help them learn about the world and to practice critical skills needed to be successful in the world today.

My students are second grade students who love to learn.

They are a diverse group with different backgrounds and abilities. We are a small school in a suburban California community. We currently share 6 computers with 120 students in our building. Our computers are old and often don't work with new technology. We would love to use new technology to meet student needs and create excitement for learning.

My Project

There endless applications for iPads in the classroom. Many apps are available to enhance student learning in all areas. I will use the iPads to develop reading and math fluency and to meet all learning styles and abilities. I will use my iPad for large and small group instruction as well as classroom management. Apps can also be used for remediation and enrichment opportunities. I hope to help all students become excited about learning and develop skills to be successful in school and in life.

Motivation to use technology to learn is extremely high.

Children learn best when they think they are playing, so the opportunities presented by using iPads in the classroom are endless. I would like to have an iPad in my classroom to help my students develop skills that are needed to be successful today and to create a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
