Help me give my students a big bang to their year with model rockets and launch pad to end our solar system unit and integrate our math skills. Plus, we are in need of new and exciting books!

My Students

Fourth grade IS the best grade. At this age kids are still excited to come to school and have matured, so you can start to talk with them instead of at them.

This group has some wonderful personalities.

We have students from some really different backgrounds, and that makes our classroom discussion really interesting with a great deal of depth. This is a class who likes to learn in creative ways. A simple science experiment gets them motivated to learn. With just a few small instructions, their minds can really run with some creative, well-thought ideas. They're a great group!

My Project

Our class is looking for some hands on materials and books to help us end our year on a memorable note. Our final science unit is over the solar system. It is a big highlight for me and for each class I've taught. We want to purchase a set of 12 model rockets and a launch pad to work on some end of year experiments that go with our unit. We're also in need of some new books in our classroom library. I've chosen books that are of high interest to our students.

By giving fourth graders a few simple tools (books and model rockets), they can really expand on ideas!
