This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My goal is to provide my students with the materials they need to thrive and address their specific special needs and varying exceptionalities. Many of my students lack the basic school supplies and items needed to accomplish their objectives. Many of them also come to school hungry, and although they receive free breakfast and lunch, they can use some snacks between meals and on their way home. I wish to provide my students with much needed supplies such as glue sticks, pencils and markers (to accomplish their academic objectives), as well as snacks, a toilet paper holder (students travel to the restroom with a roll in hand as per administration to avoid bathroom vandalism, we would like to store the paper in the holder so that the paper is kept dust-free), ink, to print out activity sheets/worksheets for student use, graduation banners as a motivational learning environment, desktop organizers to replace existing broken ones and incentives.

Basic classroom supplies are essential in a classroom to promote a successful academic environment.

Many of my students lack basic school supplies that are essential to complete daily class assignments, improve studying skills, produce classroom projects, and enrich their minds academically. Having the right supplies is essential. When it comes to my classroom, the smallest details make the biggest difference. Having snacks in our classroom pantry will help students snack between meals. The requested ink and writing corner desk top organizers and whiteboard are necessary to replace old, broken ones. The tote will be used to transport manipulatives and hands-on activity sets around the school, and the incentives will help students stay motivated. In all, the requested items will allow all students to stay on task and be actively engaged in their learning.
