Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

As the school year comes to a close, I am filled with pride for the incredible progress and achievements of my second grade superstars. Many of my students come from homes where basic necessities, including food and school supplies, are not readily available. Throughout the year, I've made it my mission to provide them with the essentials they need to thrive, including supplies, snacks, treats, and prizes, to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.

With Summer quickly approaching, I want to send my students off with an end-of-year gift bag filled with snacks and treats for the upcoming year.

These gift bags will not only provide them with practical items they may not have access to at home but also serve as a token of my pride and appreciation for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.

For some of my students, this has been their first experience in an educational environment, and the thought of leaving behind their familiar surroundings can be daunting. I want to help ease their transition by providing them with some tools they need to feel prepared and confident as they move on to third grade.
