My Project

We are nearing the finish line of the school year, and classroom supplies are starting to run thin! We've also hit allergy season in Texas, so we are running through tissues like nobody's business!

I have always found that a well-stocked classroom, where students do not have to scrounge for basic classroom necessities, is one that functions so much more smoothly.

I have created a student center in my classroom where students have access to classroom basics that they may need to participate in our day to day classwork: pencils, notebook paper, highlighters, index cards, etc. Having these supplies in an area where students can serve their own needs helps them to participate in the classroom without feeling like there are barriers to their engagement.

Items like pencils, erasers, tape, and glue will help restock bins that are growing empty. The chromebook chargers will replace classroom chargers that have broken due to extensive use. The tissues will help us combat spring allergies. The cardstock will be used to create new cover sheets for a secure testing environment. The Penguin clothbound books will replace some older texts from our classroom library that have been well-loved and are showing their age.
