End of Year Poem

Help me give my students these items to send them off to 3rd grade in style.

My Project

At the end of each year, we send our 2nd graders off to 3rd grade with a bag of swag that goes along with an inspirational poem that I created.

These items will remind our students that they are special, hard working, and can do anything they set their minds to in the future.

Here is my poem for this year:

As you head off to 3rd grade, here are some things we want you to know.

• Mints – We knew you were “MINT” to be in our class this year.

• Eraser and pencil – To “FIX” your mistakes and “WRITE” your wrongs.

• Sunglasses – Your future is so bright you have to wear “SHADES.”

• Ring Pop – Remember to always shine bright like a “DIAMOND.”

• Bookmarks – Always leave a positive “MARK” on the people you encounter.

• Goldfish – Just keep “SWIMMING” even when times are tough.

• Star stress balls – You are a “STAR” and don’t let anyone steal your “LIGHT”!

• Chalk – “CHALK” it up to another wonderful year here at Woodville.

• Book – We are ready to “Book It” out of here!

We love you all dearly and wish you nothing but the best in all you do.
