Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a wonderful group of 5th-grade students, and I want to take a moment to acknowledge their hard work and dedication throughout the year. To celebrate their achievements, I plan to provide each student with a Spanish book that we've enjoyed reading together as a keepsake, allowing them to cherish their time in 5th grade. The goals of this project are to provide essential materials that will leave a lasting impact on my students and to recognize their efforts in both English and Spanish. As part of the rewards, each student will receive a Spanish book, which serves as a mentor text that has inspired our learning this year. Additionally, I will include fun summer bookmarks to encourage them to keep reading during the break, as well as reusable water bottles to support their hydration and academic needs. This initiative is designed to show my students how special they are and to foster their continued growth and love for learning. I believe these thoughtful gifts will not only celebrate their accomplishments but also inspire them to carry on their educational journey with enthusiasm.
