This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What is a Classroom Transformation? It’s just a day where you transform your classroom space into something new or different while tying in your content. You can make them as “big” or “small” as you want with the decorations and extras, but the goal of a transformation is to provide your students with an experience while practicing/learning content! Classroom transformations engage students in taking part in an experience that connects them to the skill(s) and makes meaning for them.
Let’s have a day at the beach with sunglasses, flipflops, bubbles, and beachballs.
Students will wear sunglasses while learning and beachball can have sight words, math problems on then. At the end of day, students may sign each others beach balls for a first grade memory. We will transform our room one day into a beach retreat.
Another day we will venture to Disney while learning. Having backdrops will allow the magic of Disney to enter our classroom. Mickey decorations along with headband ears will allow the students to have a better experience of what it would be like to visit Disney.
