This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching low-income students in an inner-city school you get to see the disadvantages and struggles they face. Families are not able to afford the basic school supplies which can have an effect on student learning.

As teachers, we go through tons of supplies.

The money that we use to buy extra materials our students need comes out of our paychecks.

The dry-erase sleeves I currently own, have assisted student learning for the past 5 years. It's time for new ones. The rest of the materials I have requested will help me finish the school year.
