Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest young minds in the world. I strive daily to become the best teacher that I can be and expose them to as much as I can, while I can. However, many of our students come from low-income families. Our school is located in the rural Mississippi Delta. We are a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunches.

My students have worked very hard this year and have given their all and I could not be more proud of them.

I want the opportunity to celebrate them and their success by hosting an end-of-the-year extravaganza and gifting them with amazing bags filled with coloring books, fidget spinners, and other fun gifts and let them know that they have taught me just as much this year as I have taught them.
