Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is comprised of 25 wonderful second-grade students in the heart of the Silicon Valley in San Jose. The majority of my students are learning English as a second language and qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, but this does not hold them back in any way.

Students come to school daily with a drive to learn more academically, and I strive to do my best to give that to them.

They deserve nothing but the most solid educational experience possible. Everyone at the school, including teachers, principals, support staff, parents, and students, helps to make our school a wonderful place to be and learn. Help us make our educational experiences even more memorable.

My Project

Everyone likes to feel included. Throughout this school year, even though we have been learning from a distance and have not had the opportunity to work together in person, my students have been attending Zoom class daily and have been attempting to complete their independent work to the best of their ability. Sometimes, that's not an easy task, due to technical difficulties, like spotty Internet and/or glitches with apps or with parents who are essential workers and are out of the home working. My students deserve an end-of-the-year gift to make them feel like their hard work and effort this school year was much appreciated. Thank you so much for taking an interest in our class project!
