Help me give my students a variety of learning tools such as books that intrigue their interests, imaginative play toys that expands their imagination, and social/emotional learning games that encourage interacting with their peers.
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students encourage positive social interaction play, imaginative play, and positive reinforcement within our classroom. In other words, we will be using the books, games, and other materials to reinforce our students for their hard work and growth throughout the day. For instance, the imaginative play house will be placed in our "centers" area, which is the area in the classroom our students go when they have earned "free time." Within our "center" area we have a variety of sensory activities, building blocks, and cars that my students enjoy playing with. The imaginative play house will be a great addition to our "centers" area by intriguing their interests and expand their imagination when playing with their peers. The games requested will be used as a social/emotional learning tool that encourages taking turns and working together as a team. Lastly, the books will be placed in our classroom library where my students spend every morning after recess for 10 minutes reading a read aloud together with an adult. Overall, the materials requested provide a variety of social and emotional learning opportunities on a daily basis.
