Encouraging Kindergarten Creativity in the Classroom!

Help me give my students art and stem materials to help them develop creativity and self-expression in a fun and safe environment!

My Students

After a hard and difficult year, my classroom doors will be open for business, and I just know my chairs will be filled with a special bunch of kindergarteners!

I teach at a Title I school in a low-income area that serves a culturally diverse student population.

All of the students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite challenges, students continue to show resilience by showing up every day ready to learn. These children are brimming with potential, and I know they have the brightest futures ahead of them!

My Project

Stem building materials will give my students opportunities to unleash their inner engineers and get creative in building different structures. We will use these materials for science lessons, in which students will design structures or machines to solve real-world problems. These building pieces and tubs will allow each of my students to have his/her own personal building kit, helping to keep all students safe in the classroom.

I am also asking for art supplies, such as fabric markers and a fuse bead kit, in order to give my littles the chance to express themselves creatively and share their unique voices through art.

Students will learn to use a variety of art materials in order to communicate their thoughts and ideas through different mediums. Nothing gets kindergarteners excited like getting hands-on with art projects, and the act of creating helps them develop enthusiasm and confidence!

I am also seeking some supplies that would directly help my students develop crucial ELA and math skills. Individual student number lines would help them with number recognition and formation/writing tasks, while push pop bubble fidgets will be a fun way for students to interact with letters of the alphabet and build words.
