Why sit at a desk, when you can be learning all over the room? I believe that movement, peer interaction, and hands-on activities are essential for student success and I make sure to incorporate them every day. I teach at a public, Title I school in a neighborhood school in the Midwest. My students love to learn through doing and are always eager to try something new!
My students are toad-ally frog-tastic!
My students love STEM, social studies, and reading nonfiction books. Recently we've been learning about ancient Greece and Greek myths.
My Project
I have some eager little readers who are in need of books at reading levels F and G. I am requesting books at these levels that are of high-interest topics and ones that are sure to ensure student laughter.
Reading is fundamental, but it should be fun, too!
I will be using these books with students daily during our small reading group time. Each day students work on phonics by sounding out words and reviewing sound chunks. We also read a story and these books are just the right level for my eager little readers! It can be difficult to find books at these levels that are of topics of interest to students, so I spent time picking out ones that would be just right. My students also enjoy funny books, so I also made sure to pick out some books that will bring laughter and smiles to our reading group time. There is no doubt that these books will assure my students are eager and excited for reading group time. These books will be used by many students this year and for many years to come!
