Help me give my students a cricut machine to use to create personalized gifts for customers, specialized tags for events, and to create displays for catering events. We also badly need storage for items in our pantry!
After 10 years I moved back to my alma mater to teach FACS! I’m having a blast teaching Food Science integrated with Culinary Arts and Child Development! This program will impact over 120 students just this year and will hopefully be able to grow every year!
With the new program comes new opportunities to teach students how they can make a difference in our community and how we can connect to our community in a positive manner.
These classes are the foundation for our CTE students and they are loaded with life skills! My goal is to inform and educate students on topics and techniques that they won’t get in any other class.
My Project
My students would like to start professionally packaging food items for catering events. They have so much pride in their product and would like to increase our professionalism. They would like to design and create their own attire to wear during serving events. The addition of a Cricut and supplies to our classroom will allow us to do just that!
Our classroom is teaching students real-life skills that will transfer to future jobs and possible employment.
We are in need of some storage items for the food and equipment storage area. Currently I am using cardboard boxes, but they won't last for ever and could be damaged easily. The use of the metel shelves will allow us to get items off the floor and easily accessible for everyone!
