My Project

Our students enjoy school and find themselves wanting to spend more time with their classmates and the rest of the school community. From this desire grew after school enrichment, a way for kids to stay after school and engage in extracurricular activities. Our program is called Games, Games, Games!

We are bringing back old school board games so kids can enjoy in person socialization.

This means less time glued to electronic devices in isolation! Our program has grown to be one of the most popular in the school, and our pre-k through 5 general education and special education students are learning about the classic rules of games, including Battleship, Life, Chutes and Ladders and Twister!

What's really inspiring is to see elementary aged kids learn how to interact with others in a positive way, work together for a common goal, while also learning how to handle the disappointment of losing a game. You don't always win, but it's fun to play and try again!
